<p>WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to a behavioral health and substance abuse population. The Registered Nurse will complete medical assessments and brief histories on all clients admitted to the program and will monitor and coordinate follow-up care as directed by the Program Director. A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct patient care to a behavioral/mental health population.</p><h3>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Complete screening, assessments, and care of every client seeking SCSC services (Adults/Youth/Children).</li> <li>Evaluate the severity of withdrawal symptoms using established screening tools (if appropriate to Substance Use clients).</li> <li>Coordinate delivery and reception of medications with the pharmacy.</li> <li>Document all medications received and coordinate management of the meds while the client is at SCSC.</li> <li>Observe self-administration of medications.</li> <li>Monitor withdrawal symptoms during detoxification according to established protocols.</li> <li>Refer for required medical services as appropriate (Internal & External).</li> <li>Provide education and consultation to individual clients and/or groups on their health needs.</li> <li>Assure clients' compliance with prescribed medical regimens.</li> <li>Complete timely and accurate documentation on medical services rendered.</li> <li>Complete all clinical documentation in EHR.</li> <li>File all documents in the clients' charts upon completion.</li> <li>Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate replenishment with the Office Manager.</li></ul><h3>Required Education and Experience</h3><ul> <li>Masters in Nursing preferred, Bachelors required, with NYS RN license.</li> <li>Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and within a team.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication.</li> <li>Assessment and case management experience.</li> <li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li></ul><h3>Requirement</h3><ul> <li>Behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, detox/rehab, assessment, or related case management experience.</li> <li>1 full year RN experience.</li> <li>Experience working on a team and independently.</li></ul><p>Join our team in Brooklyn, NY, a vibrant and diverse community that offers a unique blend of cultural experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth.<br /><br />#ITN1</p>Pandologic.
