Our organization, based in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital part of our Medical Oncology team.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of Hematology and Oncology patients, which includes conducting inpatient consultations, attending to patients in the clinic, and rounding on individuals receiving chemotherapy at the outpatient infusion center.
The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover different shifts.
Essential Qualifications:
Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is required. Completion of an Advanced Practitioner program is essential.
Licensure / Certification: A valid license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio is mandatory.
Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is required, with a preference for credentials from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Current BLS provider certification is necessary.
ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS certifications may be required for specific departments.
A DEA license for controlled substances is required or the ability to obtain one as necessary.
All qualifications mentioned above are subject to approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is required.
Strong communication skills are essential.
