Exciting Opportunity for a Sports Orthopedic Surgery Physician

We are thrilled to announce a full-time position for a Sports Orthopedic Surgery Physician to become part of our expanding practice in Fresno, California.

Position Overview

This full-time role typically operates from Monday to Friday, with shared emergency department call responsibilities among qualified members of our Orthopedics Department. The ideal candidate should be open to taking general orthopedic emergency calls.

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group comprising over 120 providers, actively seeking a sports orthopedic surgeon to enhance our busy orthopedic practice. The team currently includes three orthopedic surgeons, two sports medicine/family medicine physicians, and three advanced practice providers.

We are affiliated with a highly regarded medical center that has been recognized as the Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. Situated in Central California, our location offers a lower cost of living and is conveniently close to stunning natural attractions such as Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. Additionally, major cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles are just a short drive away, and air travel is accessible with direct flights to numerous major hubs. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality orthopedic care to patients.
  • Participate in shared emergency department call duties.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency program.
  • Board Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) or the ability to obtain certification within three years.
  • Eligibility for California medical licensure and privileges at our affiliated medical center.
  • Current registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
  • Willingness to take general orthopedic call.
