ResponsibilitiesThe Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), under the supervision of the director or charge person, is responsible for monitoring procedures, which include all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies. This role ensures safe patient care and involves working as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.
Qualifications- Education
- Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
- Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of experience along with:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire) OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire)
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
- If ARRT is not held, one of the following licenses or certifications is required:
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
- Any of the above licenses/certifications must be obtained within 12 months of hire if no degree in the relevant fields
- BLS certification is required
- ACLS certification is required
