Job Opportunity: Academic Medical Dermatologist

The Department of Dermatology at our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated academic dermatologist specializing in both inpatient and outpatient care, with a strong focus on patient interaction and education. The role involves managing 25% of the dermatology inpatient consultations at our facility. During the inpatient service, the responsibilities include four half-day morning clinical sessions weekly, with afternoons reserved for consultations alongside the Harvard Combined dermatology resident team. For weeks without inpatient duties, the schedule includes 2-3 afternoon clinic sessions. Evening and weekend consultation responsibilities are shared among faculty members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inpatient consultations and manage clinical sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Harvard Combined dermatology resident team.

Qualifications
  • Must possess excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching.
  • Interest in research is highly encouraged.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology is required.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and academic environment is essential.
  • MD or MD-PhD degree is necessary, along with Board Certification in Dermatology.
Appointment and Compensation

Successful candidates will be appointed as an Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, based on their experience, training, and contributions to teaching. The compensation package includes a competitive base salary, an incentive program, and comprehensive fringe benefits. Employment and benefits are managed by Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians.
