Job Description
Our organization is in search of a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Surgical Oncologist to become part of a collaborative team consisting of four board-certified General Surgeons. This role encompasses a blend of Surgical Oncology and General Surgery, which includes providing General Surgery call coverage.
As the only VA Medical Center in Florida with a Commission on Cancer Approved Program, we offer a distinctive chance to engage in advanced oncologic surgery within a mission-driven academic setting dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans.
Key Responsibilities- Emphasize minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques in oncology.
- Expand services in complex Upper GI and Hepatobiliary oncology.
- Engage in academic partnerships with the University of South Florida and the University of Central Florida.
- Provide teaching opportunities for residents and medical students.
- Participate in available research initiatives.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
- Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology.
- Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty.
