Interventional Radiology Opportunity
Job Description
Our organization is a multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, currently seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist. This position is based primarily in Boise, Idaho, within our newly established Interventional Radiology specialty practice.
As a leading provider of advanced interventional services, we are proud to be the only Regional Level II Trauma Center at our facility. The role involves a traditional workweek schedule, including on-call duties and hospital responsibilities that may extend to evenings and weekends. Call duties will be shared equally among the members of the Interventional Radiology Department.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with fellow Interventional Radiologists and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver care for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques alongside minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a diverse range of diseases.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including but not limited to embolization, thrombectomy, venous access, TIPS, aortic dissection management, peripheral arterial disease treatment, biopsies, ablations, and stent placements.
- Primarily work at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, with weekday procedures also conducted at the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, and limited responsibilities at facilities in Ontario and Baker City, Oregon.
- Participate in a supportive team environment, which includes four Interventional Radiologists and five trained APPs.
- Share hospital call responsibilities with Radiologists and APPs to ensure manageable workloads and adequate after-hours support.
The Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is equipped with 44 critical care beds, including:
- 22-bed Trauma Neurosurgery, Stroke, and Medical ICU
- 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
- 10-bed Cardiac ICU (CICU)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in Radiology.
- Completion of an accredited Fellowship in Interventional Radiology.
- Ability to obtain medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and other affiliated hospitals as required.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
