As a primary care physician, your role will involve providing timely, high-quality, patient-focused care in an outpatient environment. Your duties will include:
- Conducting thorough health assessments and physical examinations
- Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic health conditions across a varied patient demographic
- Creating personalized care plans that emphasize preventive measures and effective disease management
- Ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic tests (such as labs and imaging)
- Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical guidelines
- Delivering age-appropriate care, including services for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics (if qualified)
- Engaging in care transitions, including follow-up after hospital stays and post-discharge management
- Facilitating internal referrals to specialists within the organization
- Managing a patient load of approximately 20 patients per day
- Collaborating with fellow physicians and advanced practice providers within the practice
