We are currently looking for a full-time Allergy Physician to join our independent, physician-owned practice, which has been a leading provider of pulmonary outpatient care in central Virginia for the past 50 years. With five locations, we offer comprehensive services including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), allergy testing, immunotherapy, and biologic therapy dispensing.

Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Allergy Physician (Allergist-Immunologist) to assess, treat, and manage patients with allergies, immunologic issues, and respiratory conditions. This role involves providing comprehensive care primarily for adult patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage allergic and immunologic disorders, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, eczema, urticaria, and anaphylaxis.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as skin prick testing, patch testing, spirometry, and pulmonary function tests.
- Create personalized treatment plans, including immunotherapy (allergy shots), biologic therapies, and patient education.
- Handle acute allergic reactions and provide emergency interventions as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on allergen avoidance, medication usage, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, pulmonologists, dermatologists, and other specialists.
- Stay updated on advancements in allergy and immunology through ongoing medical education.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Allergy and Immunology.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, high-quality care.
- Proven experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with biologic therapies and advanced immunologic treatments.
