Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess, diagnose, and treat disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing, while setting personalized treatment objectives.
- Develop and execute effective individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Perform clinical examinations related to swallowing, communicate findings promptly, and suggest dietary changes to minimize aspiration risks.
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of evaluations, interventions, and patient progress within medical records.
- Contribute to departmental quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives through active collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Engage patients and their families in the care plan, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and educational needs with respect and professionalism.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a hospital setting.
- Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency and BCLS Certification.
- Proficiency in using CSL and nasometry equipment.
- Ability to foster lasting relationships with patients and their families.
- A collaborative professional with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible and professional.
