Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Working closely with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support, advocating for patients to ensure an outstanding healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
  • Carry out procedures and tasks as directed by medical providers.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications Needed:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a BSN is preferred.
  • Possession of a current RN license in Virginia or a multistate compact license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
