Our programs focus on helping students grow academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally in a nurturing and engaging environment.Position OverviewIgnite Achievement Academy is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our Before and/or After School Program team. Staff members will supervise and engage students with autism and other learning differences in a safe, supportive, and structured environment before and after the school day.This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and teens with special needs and who are passionate about building positive relationships through play, creativity, and meaningful interaction.Typical activities may include games, arts and crafts, sensory activities, outdoor play, social interaction support, homework assistance, and helping students practice appropriate social and life skills in a structured setting.ScheduleMonday-FridayMorning Shift: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AMAfternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PMThis is a part-time position following the school calendar and will begin August, 24, 2026.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupervise students with autism and other disabilities in a safe and supportive environmentEngage students in structured and unstructured recreational activitiesFacilitate games, crafts, sensory activities, and social interaction opportunitiesSupervise students on the playground and during indoor activitiesSupport positive behavior and help students follow routines and expectationsAssist students with transitions and daily activities as neededMaintain appropriate student supervision at all timesCommunicate professionally with school staff and administrationHelp maintain clean, organized, and welcoming program spacesFollow all school safety procedures, confidentiality expectations, and mandatory reporting requirementsQualificationsRequiredHigh school diplomaAbility to pass a criminal background checkAbility to work consistently during scheduled program hoursPatience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and supportive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to actively supervise students indoors and outdoorsPreferredRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificationFormer or current special education teacher, teaching assistant, or paraprofessional experienceExperience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needsCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Physical RequirementsAbility to move throughout the building and playground areasAbility to participate in active games and activities with studentsAbility to occasionally lift, bend, crouch, or assist students as neededCompensation details: 18-30 Hourly WagePI75e7ad052e20-3037
