Position OverviewThis role involves delivering X-Ray services to patients, adhering to the student’s scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients while selecting exposure parameters under direct supervision.
- Adhere to radiation safety and protection protocols.
- Assist supervising technologists and physicians during various imaging procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with the accepted scope of practice and relevant regulations.
- Accurately position patients and determine anatomical and technical specifications.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Frequent use of vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
- Regularly engage in oral communication, utilizing hearing and speech.
- Frequently distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or malfunctioning equipment through hearing.
- Regularly lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Assist in lifting and moving patients frequently.
- Engage in reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks regularly.
- Occasionally lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Occasionally use vision to identify and differentiate colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
- Rarely kneel or sit.
Required: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
