Certified Occupational Therapist ~ COTA

Stellar Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support residents in our senior living communities. In this role, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, person-centered care that enhances residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life across independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings. You will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, cognitive and perceptual activities, and functional mobility interventions tailored to each resident’s needs and goals. You will document care accurately, track progress, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, residents, and families to ensure continuity and excellence in care. As a key member of a compassionate, community-focused team, you will help educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, use of assistive devices, and home or room safety, while promoting dignity, respect, and engagement. You will collaborate closely with nursing and caregiving staff to integrate therapy goals into daily routines, provide input on care plans, and support safe transfers, positioning, and fall-prevention strategies.
