Schedule: 7 am to 7 p
Location: 13 Weeks
Contract Length: Months
Pay Range: $1822/Week
Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled MLT/MLS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, proficiency in EPIC systems, and strong phlebotomy skills. This role involves performing laboratory testing, specimen collection, and ensuring accurate and timely results while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures
- Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary methods
- Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for testing
- Utilize EPIC system for documentation, order entry, and result reporting
- Maintain quality control and ensure accuracy of test results
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding test results
- Ensure proper handling and storage of specimens
Requirements:
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
