Assemble and package fiber optic connector components. Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.</li> <li>Operate fiber router & complete over-molding process (as needed).</li> <li>Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds (as needed).</li> <li>Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.</li> <li>Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.</li> <li>May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.</li> <li>Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.</li> <li>Perform EFG & IPC (workmanship) checks on both single & multi-fiber termini.</li> <li>Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop) and identify issues.</li> <li>Assist in the estimation process step durations. Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies.</li> <li>Communicate within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction.</li> <li>After training period of 30 days, works with limited supervision to provide timely and quality products.</li> <li>Inspect own work and products using quality standards, work instructions and prints.</li> <li>Accountability - takes responsibility for his/her own work. Respects confidential information and concerns shared by others.</li> <li>Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed.</li> <li>Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing all required clean room gowning garments and PPE (gowns, shoe booties, hair nets, nitrile gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes).</li> </ul> <p><b>This is Full-Time, Contract Opportunity.</b></p> <p><b>The Ideal Candidate will have:</b></p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred.</li> <li>Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience required with knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.</li> <li>Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment preferred.</li> <li>SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.</li> <li>Proficient Hand-Eye Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work.</li> <li>Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading preferred.</li> <li>Comfortable to work with small parts in a clean room environment, using a microscope.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Schedule: </b>1<sup>st</sup> (7am-3:30pm) / 2<sup>nd</sup> shift 3:20pm-11:50pm, Monday – Friday / Weekend, Friday through Sunday, 7AM-7PM</p> <p><b>Location </b>- Arden, NC 28704</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Payrate Range in Between - $17.61 - $26.84/hour (Pay varies with different Shifts)</b></p> <p>*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
