Maintenance Technician

Location: Irving, TX/DFW area
Industry: Healthcare/Residential Property
Compensation: Hourly, $25–$32
Hours: Full time plus pier diem

Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential units and community facilities. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day property operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional living environment for residents.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and minor repairs across residential units and common areas
  • Conduct routine safety inspections of the property and report findings to management
  • Inspect grounds daily, ensuring walkways, driveways, parking areas, and common spaces are clean and free of debris or hazards
  • Utilize maintenance and cleaning equipment as needed, including ladders, basic tools, and cleaning supplies (up to 50 lbs)
  • Support cleaning and sanitization efforts, including disinfecting high-traffic areas in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Maintain attention to detail while handling tools, equipment, and cleaning materials
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with additional tasks and projects as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Maintenance experience in residential, property management, or similar environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across general maintenance trades
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong customer service skills when interacting with residents
