LOCATION: Pacific Cancer Care - 5 Harris Ct, Monterey, CA 93940
SCHEDULE: Full-Time Monday-Friday (5, 8-Hour Shifts or 4, 10-Hour Shifts) Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $125,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience
SIGN ON BONUS: $5,000
REPORTS TO: Practice Administrator
START DATE: April 2026

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:
Pacific Cancer Care (PCC) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Nursing & Clinical Services Manager. This role provides leadership and oversight of outpatient oncology nursing and key clinical support functions, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient centered care delivery.
The Manager partners closely with interdisciplinary teams, supports staff development, strengthens clinical workflows, and ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development
Provide daily leadership to nursing and clinical support teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a culture of safety.
Lead onboarding, training, competency validation, and ongoing skill development.
Offer coaching, feedback, and performance input in partnership with HR and organizational leadership.
Support professional development and team engagement through education, in-services, and mentorship.
Assist with staffing plans, scheduling, daily assignments, and coverage coordination.
Clinical Oversight & Patient Care
Oversee nursing practice to ensure safe administration of therapies in alignment with PCC policies and clinical guidelines.
Triage patient concerns by acuity; escalate urgent clinical situations promptly and appropriately.
Step in as a working clinician when operational needs require.
Support patient and family education, ensuring clear communication about treatment, expectations, and follow up care.
Reinforce readiness standards for urgent or emergent oncology situations.
Treatment & Medication Management
Verify orders, labs, and key clinical information for treatment readiness and accuracy.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure treatment protocols, regimens, and workflows remain current and accurate.
Support safe handling processes for hazardous medications consistent with regulatory expectations.
Ensure documentation related to treatment readiness, education, and patient monitoring meets quality standards.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Oversee daily clinical operations to maintain efficient workflows, optimal patient flow, and appropriate resource allocation.
Lead the development, updating, and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and workflow documents.
Support safety initiatives, incident reviews, corrective actions, and quality improvement projects.
Participate in accreditation readiness, performance metrics monitoring, and regulatory compliance activities.
Coordinate with clinical support functions to ensure alignment of operations, supplies, and staffing with patient care needs.
Technology & Communication
Serve as an OncoEMR superuser, providing expertise in regimen review, documentation oversight, and workflow optimization, while training and supporting clinical staff to ensure proficiency and consistent use of EMR tools and best practices.
Maintain effective communication with physicians, providers, and administrative leadership.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve practice objectives and enhance patient experience.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from accredited nursing program - Required.
Current California RN or APP license - Required.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - Required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Required.
Minimum 2 years oncology nursing experience, preferably in infusion or outpatient oncology - Required.
BLS certification - Required.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, coordination, and supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge of oncology treatment workflows, patient safety protocols, and outpatient best practices.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience managing or supporting multiple clinical or patient care service areas.
Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with quality improvement, safety initiatives, or accreditation processes.
Proven ability to foster teamwork, mentor staff, and sustain a positive clinical culture.
Proven commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and professional integrity.
